Coar è stata fondata nel dicembre 1963, con il nome originale di Aurum, da Carlo Baracchi, che all'età di 18 anni iniziò la sua attività in un piccolo laboratorio a Giovi, Arezzo. L'azienda inizia a specializzarsi nella produzione di catene e placche cave, i cosiddetti “braccialetti con tag”. Successivamente ha ampliato la propria gamma di prodotti, distinguendosi come azienda leader nella produzione di catene cave in oro.
All'inizio degli anni 2000, cavalcando un'onda di cambiamento, l'azienda inaugura una nuova era attraverso tre importanti acquisizioni, rendendo CdInex, Diamantatura Aretina e Duedi parte integrante del gruppo COAR. Da questo momento Coar, con la sua innata capacità di soddisfare le mutevoli richieste del mercato, ha esteso la sua offerta di prodotti dall'oro all'argento, dalle catene a una varietà di gioielli trendy, innovativi e moderni.
Nel 2013 Coar ha festeggiato il suo 50 ° anno di attività e di relazioni di successo; un traguardo importante e un forte incentivo a tendere ancora di più. L'attuale configurazione aziendale comprende CDI (Coar International Distribution) come ramo operativo della società, specializzato nella produzione e vendita di catene e gioielli in argento, e Coar 56AR come ramo finanziario e amministrativo.
Oggi l'azienda vanta una rete di distribuzione diffusa in 60 paesi nel mondo; dal Sud al Nord America, dall'Europa all'Africa e all'Estremo Oriente. Partecipa regolarmente alle più importanti fiere di settore, comprese quelle di Arezzo, Vicenza e Hong Kong.

Coar was founded in December 1963, under the original name of Aurum, by Carlo Baracchi, who at the age of 18 started his business in a small workshop in Giovi, Arezzo - Italy. The Company began specializing in the manufacture of hollow chains and plates, so-called “tag bracelets”. Subsequently, it expanded its products range, distinguishing itself as a leading manufacturer of hollow gold rope chains.
In the early 2000s, riding a wave of change, the company inaugurated a new era through three major acquisitions, making Cdnex, Diamantatura Aretina and Duedi an integral part of the group COAR. From this moment, Coar, with its innate ability to satisfy ever-changing market demands, extended its product offering from gold to silver, and from chains to a variety of trendy, innovative and modern jewellery.
In 2013, Coar celebrated its 50th year of business and successful relations; an important milestone and a strong incentive to strive for even more. The current corporate configuration comprises CDI (Coar International Distribution) as the operating branch of the company, specializing in the manufacture and sale of silver chains and jewellery, and Coar 56AR as the financial and administrative branch.
Today the company boasts a distribution network spread over 60 countries across the world; from South to North America, from Europe to Africa and the Far East. It regularly takes part in the most important sector trade fairs, including those of Arezzo, Vicenza and Hong Kong.
